It might be August of the off-year, and presidential candidates are getting virtually all of the attention, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to ignore House elections.

North Carolina’s 9th District is holding a unique “redo” election Sept. 10, after the state Board of Elections found irregularities in Republican Mark Harris’s 2018 victory and no Member was ever seated in the 116th Congress. This time around, Republicans nominated state Sen. Dan Bishop in a 10-candidate primary, while Democrats stayed the course with their 2018 nominee, Marine Corps veteran Dan McCready.
