President Trump said Thursday he will jet to France in June to take part in ceremonies recognizing the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy.

“I’ll be there,” he told World War II veterans visiting the White House.

Mr. Trump, who is 72, joked with the elderly veterans, saying he’d like to “be like all of you someday,” while honoring their fighting spirit.

“That was a great victory. We knew how to win wars,” he told them.

He told one 103-year-old that he didn’t look a day over 90, and promised a Pennsylvanian veteran he would bring him on stage in Pittsburgh.

“We can do that,” Mr. Trump said....
