The worst time to analyze the political fallout from an event is in the middle of it. And that’s about where we are with the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation process. 

The hearing and testimony from the judge and his accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, were compelling, but it will take time and subsequent polling data to understand how the ordeal resonated with voters in competitive districts and states.
